Jewellery designer Melody Ehsani today offered up a lookbook for Holiday 2012 that includes necklaces, rings and earrings. On this page Ehsani riffs on one of our favorite pieces from 2012, the ” Queen of the Jungle ” necklace with the “Love Me or Leave Me Alone” necklace that mimics the look and feel of an i.d. bracelet. The lookbook was shot by Mike Quain, and nope, that is not the Persian princess herself doing the modeling, the beauty shown here goes by the name Sulem Calderon. All items now available in the ME etail shop . I’m not sure if this news is just something that I didn’t want to get or if I am not enough into fashion to know that Coca Cola does fashion since more than just one season. Whatever, spotted on FashionTV, I firstly was somehow confused seeing that Coca Cola put on a runway show at Fashion Rio. I’ve always loved the Coca Cola ad’s but what they presented for Spring/Summer 2013 is frightful. Beside one or two pieces that could be wearable on the streets, the rest just doesn’t work. In a Black Friday sweep of the Soho retailers on Broadway (yep, there was still H&M x Margiela), last week, it appeared Zara had the strongest floorset, doing a great job especially with tops, like this flannel plaid button up with studs on the pockets . Normally clothing looks better on retailers’ etail sites that it does in real life, but in the case of this item the reverse is true. It’s also available in other colors and while I saw a camo version in the store and online last week when I checked just now it appears it’s no longer there…guess I wasn’t the only one who liked it. Not saying this is a scientific study but at least at the H&M store located in the Columbus Circle mall in Manhattan, the staff uniformly agreed that the red high-top sneakers and the red “Candy Wrapper” clutch (a “re-edition” from the Spring 2010 collection–see the original here ) basically blew out and were gone not long after the store opened. Me personally I hate high-low designer collaborations and feel like they’re good for the low brand but are a long-term terrible for the high brand (I’m waiting for Alber Elbez to one day admit this). All that blah-blah-blah aside, as it happens I was in Manhattan on the day of the launch and decided to check it out. Giant failed snob that I am, I proceeded to buy three items and would have bought more but was just coming off off a budget killing CL sample sale and simply could not. My sense at the time–and WWD has since confirmed this–was that this collection wasn’t as big  a hit as past collabos. For as much as Kanye and A$AP have made Margiela a household name for the fashion conscious youthful masses, a lot of the cuts were simply too big, boxy or artsy, making them conceptually tough for many to visualize fitting in with their wardrobes. We already covered some impressions of this years Victoria’s Secret fashion show, but the full spectacle will be broadcasted not till December 4 on local TV channels in 175 countries around the world. Not that many -but still quite a high- is the number of different nations represented on the runway. Altogether the models came from 5 continents and 16 countries which is now underlined in a video to promote the broadcast. Rihanna lands on yet another cover, this time it’s GQ magazine’s December 2012 issue. She’s clad only in a cropped leather jacket along with what  looks to be her very much loved Aiche body chain. The cover is part of her efforts to promote the November 19th launch of her album, Unapologetic . To further build excitement, she kicks off her 777 Tour this Wednesday, covering seven cities in seven days, starting in Mexico City November 14th and ending up in New York City on the 20th. Phew! Say what you will about her various personal dramas but you cannot say this young woman doesn’t work her tail feathers off! We showed you a preview of this upcoming Supreme X Nike collaboration a couple months ago. Now we have some much more detailed pics of these highly anticipated Air Force 1′s. The AF1′s are constructed out of NYCO fabric, an extremely durable and water-resistant fabric. Three colors are available – black, olive and camouflage. These will be available through Supreme’s New York, Los Angeles, London and online store beginning November 15th.

Juicy Couture just launched a short film titled ‘California Dreaming’ to promote its holiday collection. Starring Candice Swanepoel and directed by Terry Richardson (also co-starring) at the setting of Chateau Marmont, the top model presents pieces from the actual collection packed in a L.A. typical ‘Girls-just-wanna-have-fun’ story. As part of the brands new digital and social media strategy, the film includes links of the apparel and accesories of Juicy Couture, so that they can directly be shopped while watching it.
