Jun Watanabe and atmos follow up with version 2 on their collaboration with Reebok on the Insta Pump Fury shoe. In typical Watanabe fashion, we see the use of a very bold print with bright accenting colors. This Jun Watanabe x Reebok Insta Pump Fury fuses a white and black polka dot upper with a gradient fuchsia-purple midsole, marrying an eye-catching pattern with an equally arresting pop of color. It renders the Insta Pump Fury as delightfully strange as when it first appeared in the sneaker landscape in the early ’90s, and gives the shoe a bit of personality thanks to the appearance of Jun’s Mr. Bottle Head character on the leather pull tabs. The last day of 2011 saw Long Island’s Extra Butter drop the “AHCHOO!” edition of the Reebok Pump AXT , saluting Dave Chappelle’s Oscar-worthy performance in the Mel Brooks opus Robin Hood: Men in Tights . It turns out that particular release only told one half of the story. In the thrilling conclusion, Extra Butter introduces the Extra Butter x Reebok Pump OXT “SHERIFF’,” with a nod to film’s denouement in which Dave Chappelle’s Ahchoo character is appointed sheriff of Rottingham. The kicks themselves feature a variety of materials in a woodsy colorway: there’s tumbled leather, suede and faux fur, plus custom Extra Butter hangtag and signature orange pump. Look for them to drop this Friday in-store at the stroke of midnight (so technically Saturday), with an online release scheduled later that morning at 11 am. Berlin based sneaker store Solebox is always busy with their latest collaborations. Today we can take a first look at their upcoming version of the Reebok Omni Zone Pump. The sneaker collaboration will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Solebox and as usual they have some special ideas for the occasion – the Omni Zone Pump comes with build in led light function on the outer side panels, similar to what we have seen from Solebox for the anniversary of the Pump a couple of years ago.
