Kiehl’s Skeletons Designed by Kenny Scharf, Frank Kozik, Terry Richardson, Alicia Keys & Others

If you know anything about Kiehl’s, hopefully you know Mr. Bones, the life-size teaching skeleton and Kiehl’s icon who appears in all their stores. The original Mr. Bones skeleton is the actual human skeleton used by founding family member, Aaron Morse during consultations to educate patrons on various ailments. Today, Mr. Bones represents Kiehl’s pharmacy heritage, commitment to customer service, education and science. This summer, Kiehl’s is celebrating Mr. Bones with an interactive online and in-store project encompassing celebrity partners, a charitable donation, and customer interaction. They have partnered with 13 creative icons, and each was given free rein to design and build his or her own Mr. Bones, which will be on display at the seven New York metro-area Kiehl’s stores, June 2 through July 14th. Kiehl’s worked with Alicia Keys Costello Tagliapietra, David Chang with Steve Keene, Desi Santiago, Frank Kozik, Kenny Scharf, Nathan Sawaya, Olek (Agata Oleksiak), Padma Lakshmi, Tats Cru, Timothy White, Terry Richardson and Zach Galifianakis. On the official Kiehl’s Facebook page you will be able to customize your own Mr. Bones and win a price worth 1000 USD. Make sure to enter starting tomorrow. More previews follow after the jump. Frank Kozik x Nike SB Dunk High Premium

During these last few days of April 2012, Nike SB decided to drop its quickstrike of the month, the Nike SB Dunk High Premium by the one and only Frank Kozik . With same counterculture/militarism theme founds on Kozik’s works during the heydays of grunge music, when the graphic artist created distinctive album cover arts for Pearl Jam, Green Day, Butthole Surfers, Sonic Youth, and etc.. the limited edition Nike SB Dunk High Premium referenced many aspects of MA-1 jacket and other military apparel, especially with its army olive drab, leather and heavy nylon twill upper. A plush nylon liner, in emergency orange, lined the sneaker’s interior. Finally, rather than a scripted signature, Kozik’s name is stenciled right by the right heel tab. The special edition is now available only as an in-store purchase at select Nike SB retail locations like CONCEPTS of Boston and PREMIER at Grand Rapids.

Frank Kozik x Nike SB Dunk High ‘Kozik Quickstrike’

Today Nike SB reveals a first look at their upcoming collaboration with artist Frank Kozik. Entitled the ‘Kozik Quickstrike’, the artist worked on the Nike SB Dunk High Premium and gave it a military theme, both in terms of colors and materials. His signature is placed with a stencil style print on the heel. There is no word on the release yet, but it should still be a while until this one drops at retailers. We will of course keep you posted.
