The Retronaut site is run by Chris Wild of Oxfordshire, England, an ex-museum curator and entrepreneur who travels back in time — in a manner — by using “just his perception,” thus becoming a retronaut. He views his site as a portal into the past, which goes hand in hand with the interest of design company Wary Meyer , made up of husband-and-wife team Linda and John Meyers. Their hobbies include looking for “ultimate finds” at estate sales, flea markets and thrift shops, presumably through which John came across this amazingly pristine pair of made-in-Japan Nike Oregon Waffle running shoes, complete with original box. Likely manufactured as part of the nascent brand’s original 1973 run, the combination nylon-suede kicks feature a classic yellow/green colorway and Bill Bowerman’s waffle sole. Check out the un-boxing presentation below.

Nothing’s as boring as a bland portrait of an athlete wearing his uniform, and why hold a bat, when you can grip some weights and flex your biceps at the same time like Jose Canseco? How about a 50-pound boa constrictor around your neck like Glenn Hubbard? Even better. And a strike mid-swing courtesy of Bill Pecota? Bulls eye. Check out the best and most absurd baseball cards of all time after the jump. pic and info: dailymail.co.uk
