We are big fans of the work of Japanese artist Haroshi. His wooden creations out of used skateboard decks are simply beautiful and impressive in terms of craftsmanship. Therefore we also take a second look at the trophy that he created for Battle Of The Berrics V contest. Here below is also a nice behind the scenes video of the creation of the trophy. More pictures follow in the gallery. Think he ripped in that first video? Check out the new clip on The Berrics’ website and see how Steez Ortiz gets down with home court advantage.
Along with the just announced The Berrics collaboration , audio accessories maker Skullcandy unveiled its new Skate Team. Headlined by the one and only Eric Koston, the new team consists of Sean Malto , the 2011 Street League Champion , and Baker pro Theotis Beasley . Completing the roster is Steve Berra , an industry giant who co-created The Berrics with Koston. Just like the fashion lifestyle program headed by supermodel Kate Upton , the Skullcandy Skate Team will help to develop special products, along with provision of support and exclusive media content catering to the skating community. Expect more to come as the Summer season starts.
The Berrics and Skullcandy have team up for a partnership that will include product, content, and the installation of a Skullcandy gaming zone & state of the art recording studio at The Berrics park and offices.
